Dear Colleagues and Devoted Pet Owners

We are pleased and excited to introduce to you Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists, northern Ohio’s newest veterinary specialty and emergency hospital. Our current facility is the former home of the Veterinary Referral Clinic, previously owned by National Veterinary Associates (NVA).

As of April 28th, we became the newest member of BrightHeart Veterinary Centers, the national network of specialty and emergency hospitals (www.brightheartvet.com). We are a referral only practice that will strive to provide you, your patients, and your clients with the very best patient care and client service.

Our current staff includes specialists in the areas of internal medicine, surgery, oncology, cardiology, and radiology. We are actively recruiting to add more specialties to our roster. Our current diagnostic and therapeutic services include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, ultrasound, color flow Doppler, video endoscopy, laparoscopy and i131 for feline hyperthyroidism. Our immediate plans include the addition of helical CT, fluoroscopy and digital radiology. Our current emergency service is available weekday evenings and weekends. In order to better serve your needs, we are planning to extend our current emergency service to 24/7 within the next several months. Finally, and with great excitement, the plans for our new 15-20,000 sq. ft. hospital in the Greater Cleveland area are underway. We expect to be in our new home by the fall of 2009. We will keep you informed every step of the way of our progress.
